With Hanrahan possibly shelved for April 5, it seems to make sense to me to throw him on the DL to open the year, when there are fewer games in April. He's the pitcher (26) in the equation. Number 27 hasn't emerged yet, but we're still a few days away from playing ball. Tuesday is Manatee-Sarasota, followed by the WFC Yankees on Wednesday. Added to the right, a rough spring training schedule.
I'm still guessing an outfielder, and here's revised draft on the 27 man. Changes in bold.
Starters: Paul, Ross, Zack, Charlie and Kevin
Relievers: Dotel, Donnelly, Meek, Lopez, Jaku, Carrasco and Jackson
Starting 8: Doumit, Clement, Iwamura, Crosby, LaRoche, Milledge, McCutchen, Jones
Bench: Jaramillo, Cedeno, Raynor, Church, Moss and yes, Neil Walker! Something about his enthusiasm and eagerness to try anything to stick might just work. Uber-utility guy, needs to hit more though. I'm rooting for him.
