Quick F1 Rant
UPDATE March 21: So the absurd "most wins" system has been delayed until 2010. Maybe. But stay tuned because like the weather, F1's rules constantly change. Supremo Skeletor has not spoken yet. But this does bode well for saving what should be a really exciting F1 season. And now ironically (?) McLaren's season may not yet be ruined.
You want to know why I devote so much time and energy to baseball?
It's because this man is destroying F1. It's not just an Indy issue, although this is the latest. F*ck him. He's only grandstanding to squeeze more money out of some other sucker city, sucker track. I hope it NEVER comes back here. Indianapolis is better than that. I will still WATCH F1, but I guarantee I will not SPEND one dime on merchandise again. Any penny that goes to him is a penny too much. I dread that this year's "championship" is seriously going to suck. When some driver has 4 wins by Spa it'll be pretty much decided. Who's going to watch/care the last 6 races? Not me. This sport, and all their governing bodies are a farce.
Tonight I'm calling my cable company and telling them to get me Fox Sports Pittsburgh.

Bernie: F1 could return to USA but not Indy
Thursday 19th March 2009
Bernie Ecclestone says Formula One could return to America in the near future but not to the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
F1 headed to the Indianapolis circuit in 2000 but was dropped from the calendar two years ago after failing to agree a new contract with F1 supremo Bernie Ecclestone.
Ecclestone, though, has revealed that America could be back on the calendar as early as 2011 but added that the race would not be held at the Motor Speedway.
"I would like to see 20 races on the calendar but it is a case of trying to convince the teams," the 78-year-old said. "We have India for 2010. Korea is building a circuit and we are talking to Russia."
He added: "America is also looking good - though we will not go back to Indianapolis."
