The Pirates return home tonight after a very successful 3-3 road trip, which saw (if nothing else) the first win (of many) against the Cubs. This is the first meeting of the year with the Brew Crew, who got swept away at Fenway this weekend, and are 9-15 on the road. They surely are licking their wounds (as well as pounding red bulls) as they find themselves dead last in the Central. These are what are called “trap games” ….. now is the time to pounce fourth place Buccos! Winning 2 of 3 is entirely possible, but perhaps not likely. Tonight is Manny Parra (who?) vs Maholm, who's been stellar at PNC. Wednesday I. Snell vs. B. Sheets (trade bait) Thursday T. Gorzelanny vs. J. Suppan (overpaid) Oh, and congrats go to Jon Lester. Well deserved for a heck of a kid.
